This is a newer song and done on a different app than the other tunes. All the songs except for this one were done using Cubase. Home was completed using Ableton, which is an amazing DAW and very creative....

I had a hard time figuring out a melody for this tune.... until I placed my guitar on the table and played the guitar flat. This different way of playing the instrument opened me up to trying some ideas that I probably would not of played if I was holding the guitar normally.

There is a solo in this song where I put the guitar thru the Beat Repeat audio effect in Ableton. It gave the guitar a kind of futuristic glitchy stutter type sound, it kinda reminded me of Max Headroom when he talked.

There is an end solo that I performed with the guitar flat and a ceramic pick. This is a trick David Torn has done for years. The cool thing about it is it allows you to play notes that are not on the fretboard. This solo is kinda noisy, it wasn’t supposed to be the final solo. It was really a scratch solo, but it turned out so good (at least to me) that I kept it in. I tried re-recording the solo but the feel and vibe of the first performance was very hard to capture a second time.
