This music is composed and performed all using the 2 hand tapping technique. 27 Red is similar in approach to how Stanley Jordan plays the guitar when he’s using the 2 hand technique.

This song is always fun to play live as it is upbeat, short and sweet... it’s a way to cleanse the palette before we get into heavier music.

I’m a huge Allan Holdsworth fan and I used a compositional technique that he used in some of his music. And that is when you get back to the section of the tune that you’ve already played, transpose it. Of course other composers have done this for centuries but I liked how Holdsworth used this in his music. The last section after the guitar
solo is transposed up a half step. To some this might not even be noticeable... but it
gives the music an interesting new sound or mood and propels the music forward.
Then we end back in the original key with the ending riff.
